Career

Global / LBC News (2018 to 2024)

Senior Broadcast Journalist and Presenter at LBC News, the UK's only 24-hour rolling national news radio station. Rachel presented and self-operated multi-hour live shows spanning weekends and overnights, covering breaking news with ad-lib delivery and composure built over thousands of hours on air. She was one of the first presenter/producers during the station's relaunch, a high-intensity role that is now split across multiple hires.

At Global, she also created and read live and pre-recorded news bulletins across Heart, Capital, Smooth Radio, Classic FM, and LBC, adapting her tone and delivery for each brand's audience. She was selected as a Women in Broadcasting and Content Fellow and designated a "Leader of Tomorrow" by Global senior management.

Bauer Media (2016 to 2018)

Broadcast journalist and newsreader across KISS, Planet Rock, Kerrang, Heat Radio, Hallam FM, Radio City, and Metro Radio. Based in Manchester, Rachel was part of the award-winning team that covered the Manchester Arena bombing, delivering accurate and sensitive coverage to local and international audiences under extreme pressure.

Lincs FM Group (2015 to 2016)

Reporter and newsreader covering South Yorkshire and the East Midlands. Rachel reported on the Rotherham abuse inquiry and the Hillsborough justice campaign, winning Arqiva and IRN Awards for her coverage of stories of national significance.

BBC Radio Sheffield (2013 to 2014)

Started her broadcast career at BBC Radio Sheffield, producing and reporting for the station's news output while completing her journalism degree.
