Before Global, Rachel worked at Bauer Media in Manchester (2016 to 2018), where she reported and read news across KISS, Planet Rock, Kerrang, Heat Radio, Hallam FM, Radio City, and Metro Radio. She was part of the award-winning team covering the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017, delivering accurate and sensitive coverage under extreme pressure. At Lincs FM Group (2015 to 2016), she covered the Rotherham abuse inquiry and the Hillsborough justice campaign, winning Arqiva and IRN Awards for her reporting. Rachel began her career at BBC Radio Sheffield (2013 to 2014) as a freelance broadcast journalist while completing her degree.
